OPEN MEMBERSHIP

Membership is OPEN to EVERY OCCUPATION.  Everyone should be informed.  Education and Inclusion are the foundation of this effort due to the fact that World Safety Institute is standardizing the approach to battling infectious diseases.

EHS & Q and SAFETY PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPs

Environmental Health and Safety Professionals and Safety Professionals specializing in bio-safety benefit from learning the definitions, general guidelines, methods for assessing risk, verifying solutions and validating that they work.  There are many issues around COVID-19 and infectious disease control.  This standards committee will focus on the issues, risk evaluation, the impact of the hazards, the actions that can reduce risk to an acceptable level and how to conduct efficient, respectful discussions.  The World Safety Institute will influence decisions taken to protect all workers.

Standards Technical Panel (STP) Membership and Voting rights will be limited to 100 to allow an efficient process to take place.  Membership will be as evenly divided as possible between Bio-Safety Specialists, EHS&Q Professionals, Government Agencies, DOD, Product Manufacturers and Systems providers.  Every effort will be made to generate an STP that represents as many occupations, technical resources and solutions providers as possible.

1. A Letter of Recommendations as to your safety abilities on the job

2. An Evaluations from colleagues, associates, or peers who know of your abilities and successes

3. Supporting documentation to include professional memberships, industry certifications and registrations, educational transcripts, etc.

1. 15 years of full-time experience in safety and/or environmental science field. (No Degree)

2. Associate Degree plus 12 years of full-time experience in safety and/or environmental science field.

3. Bachelor’s Degree plus 10 years of full-time experience in safety and/or environmental science field.

4. Graduate Certificate/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or similar/equivalent postgraduate university qualification) plus 8 years of full-time experience in safety and/or environmental science field.

5. Master’s Degree plus 6 years of full-time experience in safety and/or environmental science field.

6. PhD plus 10 years of full-time experience in the safety and/or environmental science field.

Degrees should be in safety, physical sciences, engineering, safety management, security, or other curricula acceptable to the WSI Approval Board.

Membership in the WSI is open to all individuals and entities involved in all aspects of safety, loss, environmental preparedness, and accident prevention field, regardless of race, color, creed, ideology, religion, social status, sex, or political beliefs. All applicants accept that WSI will conduct an independent verification of employer, education, credentials, etc.

Student Membership - $100 per Student

Single Person Professional Membership - $250 per Person

WSI Certified Consultant - $400 per Consultant

(A World Safety Institute Certified Consultant must attend training, pass Certification Testing with an 80 or better and comply with rules for Certification. See Training Prerequisites, Curriculum, Tests and Certification costs below.)

Safety Consultant - $500 per Consultant

Companies under 25 employees - $700 per Representative

Companies between 101 and 500 employees - $2000

(To vote you must complete the WSI Certification. 1 vote per company.)

(To vote you must complete the WSI Certification. 1 vote per company.)

Corporate Level Companies between 1001 and 5000 employees - $6000

(To vote you must complete the WSI Certification. 1 vote per company.)

Corporate Level Companies over 5000 employees - $8500

(To vote you must complete the WSI Certification. 1 vote per company.)

Non-Profit Companies - Negotiable Dues.
